Creative writing campaign with the theme 'Vietnam in the era of rising up'

The Literature - Arts - Music Department (VOV3), Voice of Vietnam, has just announced the rules of the campaign to compose songs, folk songs with new lyrics and poetry works with the theme "Vietnam in the era of rising up".

The campaign officially launched on October 1, 2025 and the deadline for receiving works will end on November 25, 2025. The closing and award ceremony is expected to take place on December 5, 2025 at the Voice of Vietnam Theater, 58 Quan Su, Hanoi. Authors can send their entries directly to the Literature - Arts - Music Department, National Broadcasting Center or via email vov3@vov.vn .

This is an activity within the propaganda plan for the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and at the same time aims to celebrate the country's major holidays in the 2025-2026 period.

According to the Organizing Committee, the campaign was launched to encourage the creativity of musicians, poets, professional and amateur authors, Vietnamese people at home and abroad as well as international friends. The participating works need to focus on portraying love for the homeland, praising the Party, Uncle Ho, the revolutionary tradition of the nation as well as the great achievements in the renovation and integration process. The Organizing Committee also emphasized the image of Vietnam in the new era: confident, rich, hospitable, steadfast in the face of challenges and growing strongly.

The contest is open to all domestic and foreign authors, regardless of professional or non-professional. Members of the Organizing Committee, the Jury and the Secretariat will not be allowed to participate to ensure fairness. For songs and folk songs with new lyrics, each author can only submit a maximum of two works. In the poetry category, the number of works is not limited, however, each author can only use one pen name. Entries must be new compositions, have not participated in any other contests and especially must not use artificial intelligence (AI) in the composition process.

This year's prize structure is divided into three main categories. In the song category, the first prize is worth 15 million VND, in addition to 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes. For folk songs with new lyrics, the first prize is worth 12 million VND, along with 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes. For poetry, the first prize is worth 10 million VND, followed by 3 second prizes, 4 third prizes and 10 consolation prizes. In addition to the prize money, the winning authors will receive a symbolic cup and a certificate.
