Toyota Cup 2025 National U9 Football Tournament
From August 12 to 26, the Toyota Cup 2025 National U9 Football Tournament will take place at Tay Ninh Provincial Sports Stadium (Hoang Le Kha Street, Tan Ninh Ward).
According to the registration list, there are currently 24 participating teams from all over the country competing, and it is expected that the tournament will be an opportunity to promote the local image with famous destinations such as Cao Dai Tay Ninh Holy See, Ba Den Mountain, Dau Tieng Lake, etc.
29 years ago, in the summer of 1996, Nhi Dong Newspaper organized the National Children's Football Tournament, a little later the National Youth Football Tournament and later known by the common name of the National Youth and Children's Football Tournament.
By 2020, Nhi Dong Newspaper and Thieu Nien Tien Phong Newspaper merged, the U9 Football Tournament along with the U11 and U13 tournaments, organized by the Vietnam Football Federation, were part of the national competition system. From this playground, many players were discovered, trained and later became names that contributed a lot to the overall achievements of Vietnamese football such as players Quang Hai, Dinh Trong, Duy Manh, Van Hau, Khuat Van Khang and many other stars.
In recent days, many U9 football teams from provinces, cities and units have come to Tay Ninh Sports Stadium to practice and get used to the field and the weather. Many propaganda billboards have also been hung around the event area for people to come and watch and cheer.
The tournament is organized by Thieu Nien Tien Phong and Nhi Dong Newspapers and is sponsored by Toyota Vietnam Automobile Company, with the desire to contribute to "Nurturing talent" and developing a source of high-quality players for the future of Vietnamese football.
The National U9 Football Tournament is a useful playground for the youngest players. After 4 years of organization, the tournament has become a place for primary school students to demonstrate their abilities, contributing to spreading the love of football in schools.
