Sports Festival for Ethnic Minorities in Dien Bien Province in 2025

The 2025 Dien Bien Province Ethnic Minority Sports Festival will be held for 3 days (from October 23-25) , with 34 events in 8 traditional ethnic sports, including: Con throwing, crossbow shooting, stick pushing, Tu Lu, To Sang, To Ma Le, Banh Giay pounding and tug of war. The competition will gather more than 500 athletes from 28 delegations from localities and units in the province.

The competition aims to preserve and promote the traditional cultural and sports values ​​of ethnic minorities; promote the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", contributing to improving the spiritual life and health of the people. At the same time, it creates a vibrant competitive atmosphere, strengthens solidarity and exchanges between localities and units; is the basis for selecting and training athletes to participate in the 12th Dien Bien Provincial Sports Festival in 2026.
