Lam Dong Hot Air Balloon and Arts Festival
Lam Dong Hot Air Balloon and Arts Festival takes place from October 20 to 28.
Lam Dong Hot Air Balloon and Arts Festival 2025 is organized to create a new cultural - artistic - tourism space to serve the people and tourists; at the same time, contributing to promoting the image of Lam Dong - a place where traditional quintessence and contemporary creativity converge, enhancing the attractiveness and tourism brand of the locality. The festival has many rich activities such as hot air balloon flights, hanging flights, light shows, decorative flights and exhibitions, introducing OCOP products.
It is known that paragliders and motorized kites of the Department of Operations (General Staff of the Ministry of National Defense), SG Chien Thang Import-Export Trade Service Joint Stock Company are the units that are allowed to organize flight activities at the Festival. The types of flying vehicles include 3 level 7 hot air balloons, 12 level 1 hot air balloons, 1 directional hot air balloon, 3 paragliders and 2 motorized kites. The licensed flying area is on Lam Vien Square, Xuan Huong Lake area and Da Lat Golf Course, all located in Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat from October 20 to 28.
According to the program, the Hot Air Balloon Lantern Night will take place from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm on the nights of October 24 and 25 at Lam Vien Square. The highlight will be the performances "Fire Dragon" and "Building Bridge", when pilots and technicians simultaneously blow fire in rattan baskets, lighting up the night sky and building giant balloons. It is expected that thousands of tourists and locals will participate in interacting with music and hot air balloons during the festival.
In particular, the art program “Sun and Heritage Concert” with the participation of many famous artists will be held from October 24 to 26 at Lam Vien Square and Opera House. The program promises to bring people and tourists unique artistic experiences, contributing to creating cultural and tourism highlights for Da Lat and Lam Dong province.
