Lotus Village Festival 2026
The 2026 Sen Village Festival, celebrating the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026) and announcing the Decision designating the Kim Lien Historical Site as a National Tourist Area, will feature nine events taking place from May 18 to May 30, 2026. Some notable events include: a flower and incense offering ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House in the Kim Lien Historical Site and Chung Son Temple; a procession of President Ho Chi Minh's portrait; the opening ceremony of the 2026 Sen Village Festival, commemorating the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026) and the announcement of the Decision designating the Kim Lien Historical Site as a National Tourist Area; and a thematic exhibition "Commemorating 115 years since President Ho Chi Minh left to find a way to save the nation".
The event included a "Countryside Market" space combined with experiential tourism activities at Sen Village; an exhibition titled "80 Years Since President Ho Chi Minh's Call for National Resistance"; a thematic exhibition: "The System of Museums and Memorial Sites of President Ho Chi Minh Nationwide"; and a celebration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Kim Lien Historical Site; and the inauguration of the Nine-Tiered Waterfall Project within the Cultural Tourism Area in Kim Lien commune...
Since 1981, a mass art movement featuring songs about President Ho Chi Minh, the Fatherland, and the Party has emerged under the name of the Lang Sen Singing Festival.
By 2002, the Lang Sen Singing Festival was elevated by Nghe An province to the Lang Sen Festival, with a provincial scale (held annually) and a national scale (held every 5 years) on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.
From its early years, the Lotus Village Festival has attracted people from all walks of life, not only in Nghe An province but also nationwide, overseas Vietnamese, and international tourists.
This is a significant political and cultural activity, expressing the gratitude and respect of the people towards President Ho Chi Minh - the national liberation hero and outstanding cultural figure.
The activities also simultaneously propagate and educate on Ho Chi Minh's ideology, continuing the "Learning and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style"; introduce and promote the culture of Lang Sen village and Nghe An province to friends and tourists both domestically and internationally; and gradually promote sustainable tourism development, exploiting unique tourism products associated with cultural, historical, and spiritual experiences in President Ho Chi Minh's homeland.
