International Puppetry Festival 2025

The 2025 International Puppetry Festival will be held in Quang Ninh from November 16 to 25 , bringing together many art troupes from countries and territories, bringing the audience unique performances rich in cultural identity.

It is expected that 12-15 professional puppetry troupes from 12-15 countries and territories will participate. Domestic troupes include: Vietnam Puppetry Theatre, Thang Long Puppetry Theatre, Hai Phong Puppetry Troupe, Phuong Nam Art Theatre (Ho Chi Minh City) and Dong Nai Art Theatre.

The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at 8:00 p.m. on November 16, 2025. Competition performances will be held in the morning from 9:30 a.m. and in the evening from 8:00 p.m. The closing ceremony, summary and award ceremony of the Festival is scheduled at 8:00 p.m. on November 25, 2025.

The Arts Council consists of 7 members who are experts, art researchers, and puppetry artists with national and international reputation (of which 4 members are Vietnamese and 3 members are foreigners).

The 2025 International Puppetry Festival is a cultural and artistic event to promote cooperation in the field of culture and arts between Vietnam and countries around the world.

Organizing the Festival is one of the bases to help State management agencies objectively assess the current status of puppetry activities domestically and internationally in each period, helping to orient solutions to promote the development of Vietnamese puppetry art, contributing to the construction and development of Vietnam's cultural industries.
