Special activities at the National Achievements Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day
The exhibition of national achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day will take place from August 28 to September 15, 2025.
The exhibition is large-scale and has special significance, aiming to honor the achievements of 80 years of building and developing the country.
The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at 9am on August 28 at the North Yard of the National Exhibition Center, broadcast live on Vietnam Television and Voice of Vietnam, with approximately 6,000 delegates attending. The program includes welcoming delegates, performing arts, opening speeches, presenting flags to units and cutting the opening ribbon. The rehearsal will take place on August 26.
The closing ceremony will be held at 8pm on September 5 at the same location, also broadcast live on radio and television. The content includes a summary report, closing speech, awards for outstanding groups and individuals, and the art gala “80 years - the path of glory”. The rehearsal will take place on the evening of September 4.
The exhibition is open free of charge from 9am to 10pm every day at Kim Quy House, Block A Square House and the West, South and East courtyards. Ministries, sectors, 34 provinces and cities, as well as typical state and private enterprises, will participate. The preliminary rehearsal will take place on August 20, and the final rehearsal will take place on August 26.
In addition to the main activities, many art, sports, forums and seminars will take place before, during and after the Exhibition.
Before the Exhibition, there will be the Music Show “Rang ro Viet Nam” (August 9-10), “8Wonder Co Loa” (August 23), the Run “Viet Nam toi do” (August 24), and the Art Show “Words of the Heart of Viet Nam” (August 26).
During the exhibition, there will be a forum on “Application of artificial intelligence AI in the digital age” (August 29), a workshop on “The role of data in the digital age” (August 29), art programs hosted by Ho Chi Minh City, the Ministry of Public Security, Hanoi, and Hue City; the program “Hanoi - Forever the aspiration of Vietnam” (August 31); and a business forum between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (September 4).
Activities at Block A Square House include performances, art exchanges; programs from the provinces of Bac Ninh, Ha Tinh, Phu Tho, Nghe An, Da Nang; performances, talk shows, gaming industry experiences; auction of art works (August 28).
The Organizing Committee requests that units properly implement the objectives and contents of the Exhibition Project, ensuring solemnity, scale, safety, and economy; attracting a large number of people and international friends. The organization must clearly assign responsibilities, closely coordinate, ensure security and order, environmental sanitation, health, smooth traffic, and adequate electricity and water.
The National Achievements Exhibition celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2 promises to bring a unique cultural and artistic space, recreating the glorious journey of the nation and arousing pride and aspiration to develop the country in the new period.
