Organizing the Photo Exhibition "Ethnicity - Belief and Heritage"
The photo exhibition "Ethnicity - Beliefs and Heritage" organized by the Office of the Government's Standing Agency for Human Rights in coordination with the People's Committee of Da Nang City took place from August 15 to 17, 2025 at the An Hoi Sculpture Garden (Hoi An Ward, Da Nang City).
The exhibition introduces hundreds of unique photographic works with daily moments, festivals, cultural and religious activities of the Vietnamese ethnic community as a message to international friends about Vietnam - a friendly country, rich in identity and strongly integrating, where human rights and culture develop harmoniously.
The exhibition is a special cultural initiative with profound political, social and humanistic significance, contributing to promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam in the context of Vietnam being a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council for the 2023-2025 term and running for the next term 2026-2028.
This is also a practical activity to contribute to raising awareness, strengthening national solidarity and promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam to domestic and international audiences.
The works introduced at the exhibition are images recording events and moments in daily life rich in aesthetic value, emotions about human rights and a happy Vietnam, a profound visual journey about religion, beliefs and Vietnamese cultural identity.
Through the exhibition, each viewer will have a clearer understanding of a peaceful, developed and integrated Vietnam, where human rights are always respected and guaranteed.
With two main sections “Religion – Beliefs” and “Vietnamese Ethnic Groups”, the works on display depict the rich and diverse spiritual life of ethnic communities across Vietnam.
From major religious festivals such as Vesak, Dieu Tri Palace Festival, Chol Chnam Thmay Festival, Mother Goddess worship,... to folk festivals and traditional customs such as Thai Xoe dance, Ngo boat racing, Red Dao wedding ceremony, Xa Phang brocade weaving, handicrafts, folk games of Tay, Mong, Khmer, Red Dao, Xa Phang communities...
Each work displayed at the exhibition is a true slice, reflecting the depth of culture, the desire for peace and the spirit of great national unity.
With the theme “Ethnicity-Belief and Heritage”, the exhibition is also a humane story, reflecting a diverse Vietnam in unity, respecting differences and always accompanying the people to build a fair, democratic and civilized society – where everyone has the opportunity to develop comprehensively.
