Art Exhibition: “Life is beautiful”
The Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter in collaboration with May Living Design Joint Stock Company organized an art exhibition with the theme: "Beautiful Life", to honor historical and cultural values, and arouse national pride .
The exhibition takes place from October 1, 2025 to October 26, 2025 at the 1st and 2nd floors of the Hoan Kiem Cultural Information Center, 2 Le Thai To, Hanoi.
This is an activity towards the 71st anniversary of the liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2025) and the 100th anniversary of the opening of the first course of the Indochina College of Fine Arts (October 22, 1925 - October 22, 2025), now the Vietnam University of Fine Arts; towards the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23, 2005 - November 23, 2025).
The exhibition has a special significance not only in honoring the Indochina Fine Arts Period (1925-1945) but also being held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the first opening of the Indochina College of Fine Arts, towards the 71st anniversary of the liberation of the Capital on October 10, a sacred historical milestone, affirming the strong vitality of literature and art associated with the development journey of Hanoi - the capital of a thousand years of culture. In addition to the works of artists who grew up from the Indochina College of Fine Arts. The exhibition also expands the creative space to the Resistance course (1950-1955) and the courses after the restoration of peace of the Vietnam College of Fine Arts, aiming to bring the public a more comprehensive view of modern Vietnamese Fine Arts.
Visitors have the opportunity to admire the typical works of many great names such as: Nguyen Phan Chanh, Le Pho, Mai Thu, Vu Cao Dam, Tran Quang Tran, Nguyen Do Cung, Le Thi Luu, Tran Binh Loc, Nguyen Gia Tri, Luong Xuan Nhi, Nguyen Tien Chung, Hoang Tich Chu, Nguyen Truong, Nguyen Sang, Nguyen Tu Nghiem, Bui Xuan Phai, Van Giao, Luu Cong Nhan, Tran Luu Hau...
This is one of the rare exhibitions that gathers a large number of rare works, many of which are being widely published in Vietnam for the first time. The event is not only a deep gratitude to generations of artists - those who laid the foundation for modern Vietnamese Fine Arts, but also a special spiritual gift for the public who love art in the capital as well as domestic and foreign tourists when visiting the capital Hanoi.
