Detail

Son La will open the art exhibition "Xong Chu Xon Xao" which brings together many art forms: painting, installation and performance, honoring the enduring beauty of Thai women. The exhibition takes place from October 9, 2025.

Inspired by the Thai folk song Xong chu xon xao - an epic about love, separation and reunion, the exhibition recreates the journey of preserving memories, weaving dreams and honoring the enduring beauty of Thai women through the image of the Pieu scarf.

The exhibition is constructed as a multi-layered art space: from a stilt house reconstructed with old materials, installations made from looms, raw fabrics, embroidered silk, to stitched and painted paintings stretching for dozens of meters. All are stitched together by a red thread - a symbol of fate, memory and longevity passed down through generations. The highlight of the exhibition is the creative resonance between many artists.

His movements and rhythms are in direct dialogue with the space of the stilt house, the installations and the light, connecting the ancient ritual spirit with the breath of contemporary art. Tay Phong will also perform poetry, combining Xong chu xon xao , a work by Nguyen Huy Thiep and poetry by Thu Tran.

In the field of painting, artist Le Thi Minh Tam introduced a series of bold, expressive and evocative works, exploiting the image of Thai women as a symbol of vitality and resilience in the mountains and forests. Accompanying her, young artist Nguyen Tran Thao Nguyen - generation 9X and daughter of artist Thu Tran, brought an abstract, subtle perspective on the memories of the forest where she was born. The two female artists introduced 20 works together, creating two visual streams that intersect and support each other.
