Detail

The photo exhibition "Fatherland - 80 Autumns of Independence" takes place from October 15 to October 19 at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Hanoi.

The Current Events and Art Photo Exhibition "Fatherland - 80 Autumns of Independence" was selected from 5,032 photo works sent from all over the country (including 568 photo sets and 4,464 single photos), comprehensively reflecting the flow of history and the breath of life in Vietnam over the past eight decades.

From that rich source of works, the Organizing Committee has selected 200 most typical works to display, representing three important historical and artistic periods: "Unforgettable Years" depicts memories of war and the indomitable spirit of the nation in the struggle for independence; "The Country is Full of Joy" recreates the atmosphere of solidarity and joy in the period of unification, construction and development; "Integration and Development" reflects a dynamic, creative and confident Vietnam in the period of innovation and international integration.

"Fatherland - 80 Autumns of Independence" is an activity in a series of events celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day, not only an exhibition, but also a call - a journey to find the source of emotions, depicting a visual epic about Vietnam. The exhibition is a vivid proof of the companionship of photography with the country and the strong development of Vietnamese photography in the new era.

Introducing some typical works associated with important historical moments of the nation: Work: "Rally celebrating the complete liberation of the South at August Revolution Square, May 1, 1975" by Artist Nguyen Huu Nen (Hanoi) - a valuable documentary work recording the joy of the country being reunited; Work: "The Reunification Train - Connecting the North and South" by Artist Tran Uong Son (Hanoi) - a vivid symbol of the country being united, warmly welcomed by the people of Ho Chi Minh City on January 4, 1977.
