Overcoming natural disasters to provide safe and stable electricity for 17 provinces and cities
EVNNPC has ensured safe and stable power supply, serving socio-economic development and people's lives in 17 northern provinces and cities. Immediately after the storm, the Corporation directed its units to mobilize thousands of human resources, materials and equipment, urgently fix the problem, restore power supply to customers as soon as possible, ensuring absolute safety during the implementation process. The Northern Power Corporation's Trade Union promptly visited, encouraged and supported billions of VND to support EVNNPC units as well as families of affected officers and employees.
Specifically, in terms of production and business, EVNNPC's commercial electricity output in October 2025 reached 9.19 billion kWh, up 8.96% over the same period in 2024; the cumulative output in 10 months reached 89.297 billion kWh, up 7.48%, equivalent to 82% of the yearly plan (108.9 billion kWh). Power loss remained at 3.57% in October and 3.54% cumulatively, down 0.19% over the same period and 0.46% lower than the plan.

EVNNPC's business and customer service activities continued to change positively. In October 2025, EVNNPC received and resolved new power supply for 26,465 customers, including 226 medium-voltage customers. In the 10 months, the whole Corporation has provided power to 256,393 customers, including 2,602 medium-voltage customers; the processing time was shortened, lower than EVN's regulations and compared to the same period last year.
At the same time, in order to balance the load, reduce overload, increase the ability to integrate renewable energy, improve power quality and modernize the distribution grid, in October 2025, EVNNPC accelerated the implementation of the battery energy storage system (BESS) project. The Corporation coordinated with experts to calculate, design, complete technical requirements and direct the Power Companies to develop investment plans. To date, the preliminary investment plan for 47 stations belonging to 8 units, with a total expected capacity of 305 MW, has been completed, ready for the installation of BESS systems with a capacity of 5MW/10MWh and 10MW/20MWh.
In construction investment, despite unfavorable weather and construction conditions, EVNNPC still strived to overcome difficulties and focused on accelerating the progress of projects. In October, EVNNPC started 20 110kV projects, with a cumulative start of 55/76 projects, reaching 72.3% of the adjusted plan and equal to 128% compared to the same period (55/43 projects); energized 03 projects, with a cumulative energized 57/101 projects, reaching 56.4% of the adjusted plan and equal to 129.5% compared to the same period (57/44 projects).
Digital transformation, application of information technology and new technology in production and business continue to be synchronously deployed by EVNNPC, contributing to improving operational efficiency and management capacity.
Strive to fully complete the 2025 targets
Entering the last two months of the year, EVNNPC continues to focus on ensuring safe, stable and efficient operation of the power system, improving the reliability of power supply, reducing power loss, enhancing labor safety and completing all production and business targets for 2025. The Corporation directs units to accelerate the progress of medium-voltage projects and key projects, adjust operating methods to limit peak-hour overload, strengthen inspection and handling of old operating equipment, especially lightning protection systems. With medium and low-voltage grids, EVNNPC continues to apply AI in inspection, defect detection, data standardization on PMIS software, and improving technical management at post-merger units.

In labor safety work, EVNNPC maintains AI application, strengthens field inspection and monitoring through the ECP system, strictly handles violations, and takes care of workers' health in harsh weather conditions.
Regarding electricity business, EVNNPC strives to fully complete the targets for 2025, develop the 2026-2030 plan, pilot the two-component electricity price, test the software for electricity service production and business, prepare the information technology infrastructure to serve the deployment of customer care applications (App) and a shared customer care call center within EVN. Along with that, the Corporation implements gratitude and social security activities such as "EVN Pink Week", "Lighting up the countryside roads", free electricity repairs for poor households, and propaganda for safe, economical and efficient use of electricity.
