Fans are upset because Haerin (NewJeans) appears too little in the MV "Supernatural"

NewJeans recently released a second version of their “Supernatural” music video. This version is the same length as the first music video released in late June. The only difference is that the Japanese lyrics have been replaced with Korean.

However, after the MV was released, there were mixed opinions in the NewJeans fan community.

Specifically, Haerin’s fans were upset because the female idol had too little screen time in the MV compared to the other members. In the MV “Supernatural” part 2, Haerin only had 7 seconds of screen time with a personal scene, out of the total 3 minutes and 10 seconds of the entire MV.

Previously, ADOR released a promotional photo set for “Supernatural”, Haerin appeared with striking pink hair. But in both official MVs, this look was completely absent.

According to Haerin's fans, this is not the first time the 18-year-old female idol has been treated unfairly in MVs.

In NewJeans' "OMG" MV released in January 2023, Haerin only appeared for about 10 seconds in a personal scene, out of a total duration of 6 minutes and 34 seconds. In the behind-the-scenes video , it can be seen that Haerin had to return to the dormitory earlier than the other members because the scene was finished.

In the MV "Cool With You" released in July 2023, while members Hyein, Danielle, Hanni, and Minji all had individual scenes, Haerin did not have her own scene in either part of the MV.

It was only when the behind-the-scenes video was posted that fans learned that Haerin had also filmed a separate scene but was not allowed to appear on screen.

Fans believe that Haerin is the most famous and popular member in the group, but has been continuously treated unfairly by the company in recent MVs.

On Twitter, fans pushed posts asking management company ADOR to "treat Haerin fairly."

Meanwhile, NewJeans' MV "Supernatural" part 2 is currently at the top of music trends on the Korean YouTube platform.
