The event, themed "Vietnam - Convergence and Dissemination," aims to honor the outstanding values and achievements of the "One Commune, One Product" (OCOP) program after more than 7 years of implementation nationwide.
According to the Hanoi Office for Coordinating the New Rural Development Program, the Vietnam OCOP Festival 2025 is a national-scale event of significant importance in affirming the role of OCOP in rural economic development, contributing to realizing the aspiration of building a strong and prosperous Vietnam in the context of deep integration. Through a series of diverse activities, the event will promptly recognize and honor outstanding OCOP products and entities associated with digital transformation and green transformation, while also guiding the sustainable development of OCOP products in the coming period.
To date, the OCOP program has proven its strategic vision by transforming the potential of rural resources, cultural identity, and creativity into sustainable competitive advantages. Currently, the country has 18,243 OCOP products rated 3 stars or higher, forming a standardized quality system and contributing to strengthening and enhancing the Vietnamese national brand. Notably, 60.7% of OCOP producers with 3 stars or higher have seen an average annual revenue growth of 17.6%; approximately 40% are women and nearly 20% are ethnic minorities. Many OCOP products have been exported to over 60 countries and territories, gradually affirming the position of Vietnamese agricultural products in the international market.
The Vietnam OCOP Festival 2025 also celebrates the leading role of Hanoi, the capital city, as the most successful locality in implementing the OCOP program, with 3,463 products recognized with 3 stars or higher. Hanoi continues to affirm its position as the center for the best OCOP products nationwide, and a crucial hub for connecting Vietnamese OCOP products to the international market.
The Festival will feature many outstanding activities, such as: the opening ceremony and special art program "OCOP - Connecting Excellence"; honoring outstanding national OCOP producers; a forum on improving the quality and development of OCOP products; exhibition spaces showcasing regional OCOP products, 5-star OCOP products, handicrafts, and unique cuisine ; an international OCOP and digital transformation space; the Vietnam OCOP Livestream Day; and many cultural activities and exchanges of unique traditional crafts.
In particular, the Festival will showcase an oil painting over 300 meters long with the theme "Vietnam - the country and its people," which holds the record for the longest landscape painting depicting the three regions of Vietnam, focusing on rural development and the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program, contributing to spreading pride in "Made in Vietnam."
