Coastal and island tourism has been a strength of Vietnam's tourism industry for many years. Looking back at the five years before the pandemic (2015-2019), the number of international tourists visiting Vietnamese islands grew by 23%, reaching over 1.5 million in 2019. Domestic tourism also increased by approximately 23% per year during the 2015-2019 period, reaching 9.5 million in 2019. Of these, 80-90% were domestic tourists visiting Phu Quoc and Cat Ba islands.
Vietnam's coastal and island tourism has achieved significant success in recent years, but it still lags far behind other countries in the region such as Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand. The main reason is believed to be the lack of accommodation and transportation infrastructure.
As the only place in Vietnam to hold three national and international titles – Cat Ba National Park, a Marine Protected Area, and a World Biosphere Reserve – Cat Ba possesses a unique and rare "forest on the sea" geographical feature on the map of Asian islands. In the not-too-distant future, when Cat Ba's infrastructure is fully developed, the competitiveness of this Pearl Island will be on par with any other destination in the region.
Cat Ba Island: A Key Development Point and "International Destination"
The favorable geographical location and natural landscape have made Cat Ba a key area for tourism development in Vietnam in general and island and coastal tourism in particular. The Vietnam Tourism Development Strategy with a vision to 2030 affirms the particularly important value of the "Tourism Growth Triangle" of Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh. According to the Prime Minister's decision, the vision for 2050 is for Hai Phong to become a highly developed city among the leading cities in Asia and the world; the goal is to make Cat Ba an international tourism center by 2025.
To date, Cat Ba Island has a relatively complete transportation infrastructure system, especially port and service infrastructure. Most recently, the Cat Hai – Phu Long cable car project, nearly 4000m long, and the Hanoi – Hai Phong expressway have shortened travel time from the capital to just under 2 hours. The Tan Vu – Lach Huyen bridge, the longest sea bridge in Southeast Asia, connecting Dinh Vu with Cat Hai Island, has made transportation from the mainland to Cat Ba much more convenient.

The improvement of accommodation and transportation infrastructure is a boost for tourism in Cat Ba.
A unique and rare investment opportunity.

Flamingo Cat Ba will elevate Cat Ba to a destination worthy of its inherent potential.
Not only is Flamingo Cat Ba the first and only 5-star resort project on Phu Quoc Island, it also contributes to enhancing Cat Ba's international brand value. The project impressively achieved a "hat-trick" at the International Property Awards (IPA) 2019 and is poised to become a leading entertainment and resort center in Northern Vietnam.
In particular, with its unique elevated green forest architecture and diverse range of high-end amenities, the project is considered the most beautiful beachfront resort with no competitors. A unique resort and investment product on the market.
With favorable timing, location, and human factors, the development of Cat Ba in this period is entirely predetermined, and the presence of a prime project like Flamingo Cat Ba has once again reignited the wave in the northern Vietnamese island resort market.
In particular, the project has entered its final sales phase, with limited units remaining and extremely attractive sales policies; guaranteed returns of up to 10% per year; handover of the property in 2021; and financial incentives of up to 20%. In addition, customers will receive gifts worth up to 4 taels of 9999 gold and an All In Passport Diamond card with over 100 exclusive villa owner privileges and 20 free nights at the project or other villa projects of equivalent class.
