FPT Play to broadcast Premier League from 2026

VHO - On December 8 in Ho Chi Minh City, FPT Play officially announced that it has become the sole owner of the broadcasting and media rights for the English Premier League in Vietnam, opening a new phase in bringing the most attractive tournament on the planet closer to domestic audiences.

Accordingly, Vietnamese fans will continue to accompany billions of global viewers, watching nearly 200 matches in the remaining 2025-2026 season and about 1,900 matches in the next 5 seasons. The matches will be broadcast on multiple platforms with Vietnamese commentary, many of which will reach 4K standards.

The copyright deal was carried out byFPT Play through a strategic partnership with Jasmine International Public Company Limited (JAS) and Monomax – the unit that holds the exclusive copyright of the Premier League in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. The expansion into the Vietnamese market is considered an important step forward for JAS and Monomax in the region.

Sharing at the event, Mr. Hoang Viet Anh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Telecom, FPT Corporation, emphasized: “The Premier League has a strong influence in Vietnam. With the available technology and infrastructure, we expect to bring more personalized and quality football viewing experiences to fans.”

Notably, the event of FPT Play owning the copyright took place after FPT Corporation announced a global cooperation with Chelsea FC in April 2025. FPT representative said that two activities in two different fields – digital technology and television content – ​​create a complementary effect, increasing the ability to reach domestic users.

Enhanced experiences and companion content

FPT Play said it will develop more features to support watching the Premier League, in addition to existing interactive features such as Live Chat and multi-stream commentary. Personalization features based on favorite teams and Jump Back – allowing for quick review of important situations – are expected to be deployed to optimize the experience for the audience.

In terms of content, the accompanying program system will be expanded with the participation of commentators, football experts and players. News, discussions and professional analysis are expected to help the audience have more perspectives on the most prestigious tournament in England.

Premier League service package launched

Along with the copyright, FPT Play announced a new Premier League service package, allowing online registration via the website and application. During the early promotion period, VVIP packages are priced from 100,000 VND/month.

Customers using the FPT Internet and Premier League Combo will enjoy prices starting from VND 59,000/month; this integrated package supports transmission lines up to 10Gbps. In December 2025, customers who register for new services or upgrade to the Premier League Combo will receive an additional month of free use from January 1, 2026, and have the opportunity to receive a pair of tickets to watch a Premier League match live in England on April 30, 2026.

Expanding the digital sports ecosystem

Before the Premier League, FPT Play brought to the audience many major tournaments such as FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, UEFA and AFC tournament systems, NBA, eSports World Cup 2025, PPA Tour Asia 2025 or SEA Games Thailand 2025. Continuing to own the copyright of the Premier League is considered a new milestone in the unit's strategy of developing high-end sports content.
