On the afternoon of December 2, in the second friendly match in Hangzhou (China) during the training trip to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnamese women's futsal team won 2-1 against the Chinese women's futsal team.
On November 30, also in the first friendly match with the Chinese women's futsal team, both teams drew in a match with 4 goals scored, divided equally between both sides.

In this second friendly match, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team improved well in terms of mentality and tactics when creating many opportunities to attack the opponent's goal.
However, it was not until the 19th minute that the Vietnamese women's futsal team opened the scoring after a decisive shot by Bui Thi Trang. The 1-0 score remained until the end of the first half.
Right at the beginning of the second half, taking advantage of the home team's mistake, Le Thi Thanh Ngan helped the Vietnamese women's futsal team take a two-goal lead. With nothing to lose, the Chinese women's players used the Power Play tactic (the goalkeeper leaves the goal to join the attack) and scored a goal to reduce the score to 1-2 in the 33rd minute.
However, the efforts in the remaining minutes helped the Vietnamese women's futsal team to protect the score and win the final match with a score of 2-1. This victory helped the women's futsal team gain confidence before entering the journey to conquer the gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games.
According to the plan, the team will have their last training session in Hangzhou tomorrow morning (December 3) and return to Ho Chi Minh City that same evening. The team will practice for a week in Ho Chi Minh City to finalize matters before leaving for Thailand to attend the 33rd SEA Games.
In the history of participating in the biggest sports festival in Southeast Asia, the Vietnamese women's futsal team has never won the championship, but has finished second 5 times in 2007, 2011, 2013, 2017 and 2022. All 5 times, the team finished behind Thailand.
