This figure increased by 68.3% over the same period last year and increased by 3.9% over the same period in 2019 - a year before the COVID-19 pandemic.

In April 2024 alone, the number of international visitors to Vietnam reached nearly 1.6 million, an increase of 58.2% over the same period last year.

Of the total of nearly 6.2 million international visitors to Vietnam in the past four months, visitors arriving by air accounted for 83.7%; by road 13.8%; and by sea 2.5%.

Revenue from accommodation and catering services in the first four months of 2024 is estimated at VND 237,300 billion (up 15.3% over the same period); tourism revenue is estimated at VND 19,400 billion (up 49.3% over the same period last year).

These results show that favorable visa policies and tourism stimulus programs are continuing to play an effective role in helping the tourism industry recover and grow rapidly again.
