Nearly 75 thousand workers went to work abroad in the first 6 months of the year

According to the Department of Overseas Labor Management (Ministry of Home Affairs), as of June 30, the country had sent 74,691 workers abroad to work. In June alone, this number was 13,060 workers.

According to statistics from the Department of Overseas Labor Management, of the 74,691 workers going abroad in the first 6 months of the year, there were 25,617 female workers. Japan was the market that received the most Vietnamese workers with 35,240 workers, followed by Taiwan (China) with 28,206 workers, and South Korea with 5,650 workers. In addition, China received 1,478 workers, Singapore received 1,100 workers, Romania received 400 workers, and Hungary received 572 workers, showing that new markets continue to record positive results.

The market for sending Vietnamese workers abroad to work is being actively expanded.

In June alone, out of 13,060 workers going abroad, 4,650 were female. The main labor receiving markets included Japan with 5,338 workers, Taiwan (China) with 6,074 workers, and South Korea with 673 workers. Some other markets also continued to record stable numbers of labor receiving, including China with 236 workers, Singapore with 248 workers, Romania with 83 workers, and Hungary with 65 workers.

The Department of Overseas Labor Management said that, along with maintaining traditional markets and expanding new markets, inspection and supervision of the selection, training and dispatch of workers have been carried out synchronously to improve the quality of human resources and ensure the legitimate rights and interests of workers. Exchange and cooperation activities with countries and territories in need of receiving workers have also been enhanced, contributing to expanding markets, diversifying occupations and improving the effectiveness of sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad in the coming time.
