The Dong residential area used to have 2 poor households and 1 near-poor household, all facing particularly difficult circumstances such as single mothers raising young children, elderly people who have lost their ability to work, and people suffering from serious illnesses.
Concerned about this reality, he, along with the Party branch and the Front Committee, discussed and specifically assigned various mass organizations to assist each household according to the principle of "the right person, the right task".
Practical actions such as providing labor support, visiting during holidays, assisting with production, and caring for the sick have yielded clear results.
By the end of 2024, all three poor and near-poor households in Dong residential area had achieved stable living conditions. The residential area has become a shining example in the social welfare work of the ward.
Moreover, Mr. Hieu also pays special attention to families from other areas who are temporarily residing or renting houses in his home. From guiding them through administrative procedures and ensuring their children attend school at the appropriate age, to inviting them to participate in community activities such as the National Unity Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival, everything is done with an open and sincere spirit.
As a result, temporary residents feel a sense of warmth, without distance or discrimination, and can work with peace of mind and feel attached to the local community.
One of the outstanding achievements in Mr. Hieu's community mobilization work is his ability to encourage people to participate in social projects. All policies are discussed openly and transparently. As a result, the Dong residential area has mobilized a high level of consensus from the people in donating land to widen the road, with each household voluntarily moving back 1-2 meters to make the village roads and alleys more spacious and airy.
In particular, through his perseverance, dedication, and personal prestige, he mobilized the people to contribute to the construction of local cultural and spiritual sites.
Two communal houses and temples have been renovated and rebuilt in a spacious and beautiful manner with a total socialized funding of up to 3 billion VND; the community cultural center has been built to be spacious and beautiful, meeting the needs of the people for community activities, meetings, and cultural and artistic events.
