According to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, the current price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice decreased by 100 VND, fluctuating at 8,300 - 8,500; OM 18 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; OM 380 rice is at 7,200 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 9,000 - 9,200; Nang Hoa 9 is at 9,200 VND/kg; Nhat rice is at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg
In many localities today, farmers still offer high prices, but new transactions are rare due to the continuous fluctuations in rice prices. In Bac Lieu , new rice transactions are slow, farmers offer prices but traders mostly stop buying. In Dong Thap, many people stop buying, or ask for prices but new transactions are rare.
In Long An, new transactions are slow, traders are asking to buy but not many have been finalized. In Dong Thap, farmers are offering to sell early winter-spring rice, transactions are slow, few people are buying. In Kien Giang, farmers are offering to sell 2024/25 winter-spring rice, new transactions are stagnant, most of them have not been finalized. In Soc Trang , new transactions are quiet, traders have stopped asking to buy, most of them are taking rice that has been deposited. In Long An, there are few buyers, transactions are slow, prices tend to decrease.
Similarly, with rice, according to an update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, the price of IR 504 raw rice has decreased by 100 VND, fluctuating at 9,150-9,300 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice has also decreased by 100 VND, fluctuating at 11,200-11,400 VND/kg.
Regarding by-products, the prices of by-products and various by-products range from 5,600 to 8,200 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant rice bran ranges from 8,100 to 8,200 VND/kg; the price of dry bran ranges from 5,600 to 5,700 VND/kg.
Recorded in localities today, the quantity is small, the price fluctuates slightly, most warehouses buy sparingly. In Lap Vo - Vam Cong (Dong Thap), the quantity comes in slowly, warehouses buy slowly at low prices, prices of all types continue to decrease. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), the quantity comes in not much, large warehouses ask to buy sparingly, fragrant sticky rice, the purchasing power is sporadic, the quantity is small, prices continue to decrease.
Sa Dec market canal, rice is coming in slowly from coastal fields, warehouses buy in moderation, prices of all kinds tend to decrease. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), quantity is low, prices are stable, most of the rice is weak, little good rice.
At retail markets, rice prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Regular rice fluctuated at 17,000 - 18,000 VND/kg. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of 28,000 VND/kg. Fragrant rice with high prices fluctuated at 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; Jasmine rice 17,000 - 18,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice 21,500 VND/kg; long-grain fragrant rice 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000 VND/kg; common white rice 17,500 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000 VND/kg; regular Soc rice 18,500 VND/kg; Thai Soc rice 21,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice 22,500 VND/kg.
In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today decreased sharply compared to last weekend. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 485 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 459 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 388 USD/ton.
