Representatives of Kim Dong Publishing House met with members of the Literature Association, Literature and Arts Association of Hai Duong province, to introduce the first Kim Dong Literature Award.
This is the third creative campaign, following campaigns organized by Kim Dong Publishing House in Binh Dinh, Gia Lai, Dak Lak and An Giang .
With the desire to discover more talented writers for children, to have more new, quality literary works, conveying many meaningful messages about the people and country of Vietnam; Kim Dong Publishing House has established an award for works for children called the Kim Dong Literature Award. The first Kim Dong Literature Award is associated with the 2023 - 2025 Children's Writing Campaign organized by Kim Dong Publishing House.
Sharing at the meeting, writer Truong Thi Thuong Huyen - President of the Literature and Arts Association of Hai Duong province said: "Hai Duong has a long history of achievements in children's literature. Currently, the activities of the Children's Literature and Arts Board are very active, not only adults write for children but also children write. The birth of the Kim Dong Literature Award has greatly encouraged writers. Through the meeting and exchange activities, the needs and desires of writers and publishers will come closer together, both suggesting and encouraging creative enthusiasm".
Ms. Vu Thi Quynh Lien, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Kim Dong Publishing House, Member of the Final Jury of Kim Dong Literature Award, shared that through the meeting, Kim Dong Publishing House wishes to promote the Kim Dong Literature Award to members of the Literature and Arts Association of Hai Duong province. She believes and hopes that after the meeting, there will be many children's literature works by Hai Duong writers published at Kim Dong Publishing House.
On May 30, 2023 at 55 Quang Trung, Hanoi , Kim Dong Publishing House held a ceremony to announce the establishment of the Kim Dong Literature Award and launch the Creative Campaign for Children 2023 - 2025. The first Kim Dong Literature Award is associated with the 2023 - 2025 Children's Writing Campaign organized by Kim Dong Publishing House. The Kim Dong Literature Award is open to all professional and non-professional writers, with three categories: short stories, novels and poems. The entries are aimed at children (6-10 years old) and teenagers (11-15 years old). The total prize value is up to 360 million VND. The time to receive works is from June 17, 2023 to March 31, 2025. The Final Jury includes famous writers who have made many contributions to Vietnamese Children's Literature: Chairman of the Jury, writer Tran Duc Tien and members: Writer Nguyen Nhat Anh, Writer Ly Lan, Poet - Doctor of Education Nguyen Thuy Anh and Editor-in-Chief of Kim Dong Publishing House - Vu Thi Quynh Lien. |
