
Attending the meeting were General Phan Van Giang, Member of the Political Bureau, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense; General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army; and General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense.
In 2026, Brigade 144 achieved 100% of its personnel excellently and successfully completing their tasks; 54 comrades were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam ; and 146 comrades received commendations. At the meeting, on behalf of the Ministry of National Defense leadership, General Phan Van Giang thanked the silent and responsible contributions of the non-commissioned officers and soldiers of Brigade 144 in performing their duties, being ready for combat, protecting major events and conferences of the Party, State, and Army; ensuring absolute safety at the Command Headquarters - Ministry of National Defense and assigned targets; and maintaining exemplary and disciplined conduct, creating a positive image of the soldiers of the Guard Brigade.
General Phan Van Giang expressed his wish that, upon returning to their localities, each non-commissioned officer and soldier would always uphold and promote the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, setting an example in complying with, propagating, and encouraging their families, relatives, and local people to strictly adhere to the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws; and actively studying, training, working, and producing. The General wished the non-commissioned officers, soldiers, and their families a joyful reunion and a happy Lunar New Year 2026 (Year of the Horse).
