At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of the special task unit CP35 - the predecessor of Group 95. In response to the requirements of international missions, in July 1954, the Politburo decided to establish the CP35 unit directly under the Politburo and the Secretariat, under the direct leadership of the Chief of the Central Party Office, based on Laotian soil, with the mission of helping Laos and other friendly countries. In response to the requirements of mission development, on July 1, 1963, the Politburo decided to convert CP35 into Group 95. In 1966, due to the requirements of military missions, the Politburo and the Secretariat decided to transfer Group 95 to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense .
In October 1976, Group 95 ended its mission and was disbanded. After leaving the army, most of the cadres and soldiers returned to their hometowns, continued to promote the qualities of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers”, actively contributed to building their homeland, preserving and spreading the revolutionary traditions of the heroic Group 95.
The Liaison Committee of the 95th Group of Son La Province was established in 2003. Over the past 20 years, the Committee has become a bridge connecting comrades and teammates who fought and worked in the 95th Group and are living in the province. Up to now, the Liaison Committee has 36 members. With a sense of responsibility and deep comradeship, the members have voluntarily contributed to building the operating fund, regularly organizing meetings, exchanges, visits, and encouraging each other in life.
Not only preserving and promoting the fine traditions of the 95th Heroic Group, the members of the Liaison Committee are also shining examples in the community, actively educating their children to promote revolutionary traditions, live with ideals, and contribute to building an increasingly prosperous and civilized homeland.
