Attending the Meeting were also representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the provinces participating in the Festival; typical artisans, people with many contributions to the work of preserving and transmitting the traditional culture of 14 ethnic groups with a population of less than 10,000 people participating in the Festival including O Du, Pu Peo, Lu, Bo Y, Ro Mam, Si La, Brau, Cong, Co Lao, Lo, Chut, Lu, Pa Then, Ngai.
Ms. Trinh Thi Thuy - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism spoke at the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy emphasized that over the years, the Party and the State have had many policies and guidelines in developing Vietnamese culture in general and ethnic groups with a population of less than 10,000 people in particular. On behalf of the Ministry's leaders, Ms. Trinh Thi Thuy expressed her gratitude for the contributions of artisans in preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of ethnic groups. Whether traditional cultural values are passed on and preserved depends on the experiences and efforts of artisans. She hopes that artisans will continue to share their experiences in preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of ethnic groups in general and ethnic groups with very few people in particular; transmitting and preserving to the younger generation and forever... to enrich, protect and promote traditional culture, contributing to building an advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity, meeting the requirements of sustainable national development according to Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW of the 10th Party Central Committee, Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party and the 2021 National Cultural Conference.

At the meeting, Comrade Tong Thanh Hai highly appreciated the contributions of artisans to the work of preserving, transmitting and developing the traditional culture of ethnic groups with a population of less than 10,000 people. At the same time, he thanked the artisans for their attention to the first Cultural Festival of Ethnic Groups with a population of less than 10,000 people in 2023. He also emphasized: The first Cultural Festival of Ethnic Groups with a population of less than 10,000 people in 2023 demonstrates the attention of the leaders of the Party, State, ministries, branches and localities to the work of preserving ethnic culture, and also demonstrates the determination to preserve and conserve the traditional culture of all people. Artisan Lo Lai Siu (Bo Y ethnic group), Thanh Binh commune, Muong Khuong district, Lao Cai province shares his experience in preserving and promoting the traditional cultural identity of his ethnic group in the locality.
Speaking at the meeting, the outstanding artisans all hoped that the Party and State would continue to pay attention, create conditions and an environment for ethnic groups across the country to exchange and learn from each other's experiences, create opportunities for ethnic groups, especially ethnic groups with very few people, to continue to promote and preserve their traditional cultural values and pass on traditional cultural values to the next generation, and strengthen the solidarity of the community of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam...
