The project to restore and renovate the memorial site of the late General Secretary Ha Huy Tap (Cam Hung commune) has a total investment of 49.241 billion VND, with the Ha Tinh Provincial Civil and Infrastructure Construction Project Management Board as the investor. Construction began on November 15, 2025, and is scheduled for completion within 110 days to be ready for the 120th anniversary of the birth of the late General Secretary Ha Huy Tap (April 24, 1906 - April 24, 2026). (Image:Perspective design of the memorial site after restoration and renovation .) Currently, construction is proceeding at a rapid pace from early morning to late evening on the construction site. The two main contractors, Duc Loc Tai Co., Ltd. ( Bac Ninh ) and Khanh Mon Construction and Trading Co., Ltd. (Tran Phu Ward, Ha Tinh), have mobilized maximum manpower and machinery; organizing construction on multiple fronts and in multiple shifts to accelerate progress.
Each item was completed according to the principle of "fast but not rushed," because the requirement was not only to meet the deadline but also to preserve the original value of the historical site.
At the memorial site, specifically the thatched house where the late General Secretary Ha Huy Tap was born, a team of workers is carefully re-roofing it, meticulously addressing every detail to ensure durability while preserving the traditional architecture. This is a special national historical monument with significant symbolic meaning, so every stage of the process is being closely monitored.
Simultaneously, facilities such as the memorial house, the church dedicated to the late General Secretary, the church dedicated to his parents, and the reception house are also being newly constructed on an appropriate scale, ensuring long-term functionality.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu (on the left) – a technical officer of Duc Loc Tai Co., Ltd. said: “ Up to this point, the items at the memorial area have reached about 80% of the construction volume and the technical infrastructure has reached about 50%. Rainy weather has interrupted construction, so we had to put up tents to cover the work and organize make-up work. Workers regularly work overtime until 10 PM to ensure progress and strive to complete the project before February 28th .”
Not far from the memorial site, at Dong Lem Hill (Hung Thang village, Cam Hung commune) – where the tomb of the late General Secretary Ha Huy Tap is located – the atmosphere of work is equally bustling. Walking paths, fences, gate posts, parking lots, electricity and water systems are being completed day by day. This area has a hilly terrain, requiring construction to be organized scientifically, ensuring safety and aesthetics.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Tinh (on the right) – Commander of Khanh Mon Construction and Trading Company Limited, shared: “ Currently, the construction and renovation work at the tomb area has reached about 60%. The weather in recent days has been quite favorable, so we are focusing on constructing outdoor infrastructure items to make the most of the time. The goal is not only to meet the deadline but also to ensure quality and a harmonious landscape with the spiritual space of the historical site .”
According to the plan, the project should be completed by February 28th. However, contractors are proactively setting a critical path for progress, determined to shorten the time and strive to finish about two weeks early. Completion before the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse will not only help to bring the project into service for the people and tourists sooner, but also create conditions to continue perfecting the organizational aspects and making thorough preparations for the 120th anniversary of the birth of the late General Secretary Ha Huy Tap in April 2026.
The project to restore and renovate the historical site of the late General Secretary Ha Huy Tap will address dilapidated structures and ensure synchronized infrastructure to meet the requirements of preservation, promotion, and tourism for educational purposes; thereby contributing to the promotion of the value of revolutionary tradition education. Completing the project before the Lunar New Year will not only allow the committee to proactively organize the reception of people, tourists, and delegations coming to offer incense and visit, but also facilitate thorough preparation for the 120th anniversary of the birth of the late General Secretary Ha Huy Tap in April 2026.
