Electronic component exports expected to reach 145 billion USD by 2025

According to the Vietnam Electronics Industry Association, the global electronics and smart manufacturing industry is experiencing strong fluctuations, with production costs escalating, supply chains constantly fluctuating, and the wave of transformation accelerating. In this context, Vietnam has become an important link in the global supply chain with an expected electronics export value of 145 billion USD in 2025.

Leading technology corporations such as ASUS are contributing to the trend of making Vietnam a link in the global supply chain by shifting more than 90% of PC and motherboard production to Southeast Asia, considering Vietnam an important destination.

In parallel with ASUS, Apple Corporation continues to expand its investment, while Samsung is restructuring and optimizing its production network in the region, creating a strong wave of shift, affirming the increasingly prominent role of Southeast Asia in the global supply chain.

According to IMARC Group's forecast in 2025, the smart manufacturing market in Vietnam is expected to make a strong breakthrough, from 116.8 billion USD in 2024 to more than 303 billion USD in 2033. Facing that prospect, domestic enterprises are constantly upgrading production capacity and converting to smart factory models, to catch up with global trends.

At the same time, Vietnam's semiconductor industry is also witnessing impressive growth, driven by supportive policies from the Government , extensive international cooperation, and increasingly improved domestic technological capabilities. These advances are helping Vietnam gradually assert its position as a regional center in the fields of chip design, assembly and testing, while opening up a large space for investment, innovation and the development of high-quality human resources.
