The entire power supply project in Phang Cu and Hang Chua villages, Sang Nha commune, has an investment capital of over 17 billion VND, including items such as a 35 kV medium-voltage line over 5km long with 50 poles and 2 BMA transformer substations; a 0.4 kV low-voltage line 5.278km long with 88 poles; and the installation of meters, wiring, electrical panels, and light bulbs to all 194 households. GELEX Group and its subsidiaries, GELEX Power Corporation and EMIC Electrical Measurement Equipment Corporation, jointly sponsored over 10 billion VND.
Construction began on January 8th under challenging conditions, but was completed in just 18 days, ahead of schedule. On February 6th, the inauguration ceremony for the project bringing the national power grid to Phang Cu and Hang Chua villages in Sang Nha commune, Dien Bien province, was held.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Vu Van Dau, Director of the Dien Bien Provincial Police, emphasized that the completion of the project to bring the national power grid to the people of Phang Cu and Hang Chua villages is not only of great importance to the province's power grid infrastructure, fulfilling the aspirations of the people, but also opens up new development opportunities for the people of the two villages as well as the people of Sang Nha commune.
The villages of Phảng Củ and Háng Chua have nearly 200 households of the Mong ethnic minority living there, and are classified as particularly disadvantaged areas in Điện Biên province.
Mr. Thào A Khu, Head of Háng Chua village, Sáng Nhè commune, Điện Biên province, shared: "Today, our villagers are very happy and joyful because from now on we have electricity. Electricity gives us more faith and hope; children can study at night with the light, and adults can watch TV, learn how to do business, cultivate crops, and raise livestock better. From now on, the village will gradually change, and the lives of our villagers will become more prosperous..."
