Silver prices are rallying again thanks to renewed buying pressure in the market, according to precious metals analyst Christopher Lewis at FX Empire.

" Silver supply is currently quite limited, while demand from green technology and artificial intelligence industries is increasing, these are factors supporting prices. At the same time, in the futures market, the amount of silver 'on paper' is still much larger than the amount of actual physical silver, which makes short-term corrections more likely ," he said.

Lewis also noted that, as a general rule, for silver to be reasonably short, the price needs to fall significantly. This is not the case at the moment, so shorting is still risky. However, if the price corrects further in the future, attractive shorting opportunities will arise.

" In short, the silver market is in a balance between strong demand and limited supply. Short-term fluctuations are now just opportunities for long-term investors to find entry points, and short selling is not suitable for the market context at this time ," said Christopher Lewis.
