At the end of the first week of December, coffee prices in the Central Highlands region dropped sharply from 8,000 to 8,500 VND/kg. Specifically, in Lam Dong, coffee prices dropped by 8,000 VND/kg. In Dak Lak and Gia Lai, coffee prices dropped by 8,300 VND/kg. Coffee prices in Dak Nong had the biggest drop of 8,500 VND/kg compared to the previous month.

In the first 11 months of 2025, Vietnam's coffee exports reached 1.4 million tons with a turnover of 7.88 billion USD. Thanks to the sharp increase in world prices, the export value increased by 60% although the output only increased by 14% compared to the same period. The average price reached 5,668 USD/ton, 40% higher than the previous year, creating favorable conditions for domestic enterprises.

The rise in Robusta and Arabica prices to multi-year highs continues to be the main driver for improving coffee industry profits. Many businesses recorded good revenues thanks to new contracts signed at high prices and taking advantage of stable demand from European markets.

The three largest markets for Vietnamese coffee remain Germany, Italy and Spain. In Germany, the value of coffee imports from Vietnam increased by 95% in 10 months, helping Vietnam’s market share increase from 21% to 24%, despite a slight decrease in the total import volume.

World coffee prices today

Coffee prices moved in opposite directions but generally increased slightly:

Robusta Coffee (London):

Delivery in January 2026: Up 16 USD to 4,331 USD/ton

March 2026 delivery: Up 32 USD to 4,244 USD/ton.

Arabica Coffee (New York):

December 2025 delivery: Up 5.45 cents/lb to 409.2 cents/lb

March 2026 delivery: Up 3.7 cents/lb to 376.15 cents/lb

Robusta prices remained at a 1.5-week low as the market worried that storms and heavy rains in Vietnam would slow the harvest and could reduce output by 5-10%. Differing views on the production outlook kept prices volatile.

For arabica, prices have been supported by a strong Brazilian real, which has kept farmers from selling. Brazilian coffee exports to the U.S. have been slow but are expected to improve from early 2026.
