Coffee prices in the Central Highlands have dropped sharply.

On the morning of December 7, 2025, coffee prices in the Central Highlands provinces fell sharply due to the peak harvest season. In the key area of Lam Dong , coffee prices in Di Linh, Lam Ha and Bao Loc are being purchased at 102,300 VND/kg.

Other provinces also recorded coffee prices fluctuating around 103,000 VND/kg. Specifically, in Dak Lak (Cu M'gar, Ea H'leo, Buon Ho) and Dak Nong (Gia Nghia, Dak R'lap), the purchasing price is 103,000 VND/kg.

Gia Lai province (Chu Prong) has coffee price of 102,500 VND/kg, slightly lower than Pleiku and La Grai (102,400 VND/kg).

In Kon Tum, coffee price is purchased at 102,400 VND/kg.

Summing up the whole week, domestic coffee prices have decreased significantly, up to 9,000 VND/kg due to pressure from new supply.

Coffee price today November 5, 2025: Strong increase, gap in coffee exports

Worryingly, coffee growers in Dak Lak are facing a very difficult harvest. Prolonged rain and floods have caused severe damage, washing away and submerging hundreds of hectares of ripe coffee.

In Yang Mao commune, flash floods have almost "wiped out" a large area of coffee trees along the river, causing many households to lose all their cultivated land. A similar situation also occurred in Krong Bong and Cu Pui communes, where more than 300 hectares and over 600 hectares of coffee trees were swept away and inundated.

Long-term flooding of coffee trees will cause great difficulty in restoring the garden, directly and permanently affecting the lives of local farmers.

World coffee prices fell sharply, Robusta and Arabica both lost points

Along with the domestic market, world coffee prices also turned down at the end of the most recent trading session.

On the London floor, the price of Robusta coffee for delivery in January 2026 decreased by 7 USD/ton, reaching 4,295 USD/ton, while the price for delivery in March 2026 decreased further, losing 54 USD/ton, to 4,178 USD/ton.

On the New York floor, Arabica coffee prices were also under pressure. The December 2025 delivery contract fell 5.7 cents/lb to close at 406.25 cents/lb, and the March 2026 delivery contract fell 5.65 cents/lb to 374.85 cents/lb.

The decline in the world market is attributed by experts to the increasing pressure on supply from Vietnam. In total, during the week, Robusta coffee prices fell by 270 USD/ton and Arabica fell by 6.75 cents/lb.

Despite the downward trend in coffee prices this week, the export performance of the Vietnamese coffee industry is still remarkable. By the end of the first 11 months of 2025, Vietnam had exported 1.4 million tons of coffee, earning 7.88 billion USD. The sharp increase in coffee prices earlier helped export value increase by 60%, although output only increased by 14% compared to the same period.

However, the current downward pressure also shows the interweaving of influencing factors, in which supply from Vietnam is a major factor.
