In 2025, Vietnam's coffee export market is forecast to be influenced by many important factors, including domestic production, global demand, prices and macroeconomic factors. As the world's second largest coffee exporter, mainly Robusta coffee, Vietnam is facing many opportunities and challenges in the context of global competition.

According to forecasts from international organizations and domestic agencies, global coffee demand, especially from major markets such as the European Union (EU), the United States and East Asian countries, is expected to remain stable. However, the market will witness strong competition from other coffee producing countries such as Brazil, Indonesia and African countries.

Unfavorable weather and drought conditions may affect domestic coffee production. However, if effective farming practices and improved productivity are applied, the negative impacts of climate change can be minimized. Vietnam needs to focus on improving coffee quality and developing deep-processed products to increase added value.

Products such as instant coffee and roasted coffee could become a new driving force for exports, meeting the demand of high-end markets. Vietnam is actively improving product quality and developing deeply processed products to increase added value for the coffee industry.

Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) that Vietnam has signed, such as the Vietnam – EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), will facilitate coffee exports. Tariff reductions and the promotion of Vietnamese agricultural products in the international market will have a positive impact on the coffee industry.

Technological developments in coffee production and processing will help improve product quality and reduce costs, creating greater opportunities to compete in the global market. Despite many challenges, the Vietnamese coffee industry is still forecast to continue to grow strongly in 2025 thanks to innovation in production and export, along with increased value added to products.
