This week, the world rubber market increased by 2-3%, while the domestic market decreased quite sharply. In the domestic market, the price of rubber latex remained unchanged compared to yesterday.
World rubber price
At the time of the survey, the RSS3 price at the TOCOM Commodity Exchange (Tokyo) for August 2025 delivery was at 321 yen/kg. Meanwhile, the August 2025 contract on the SHFE (Shanghai) remained at 14,795 CNY/kg. Meanwhile, in Thailand, the August 2025 rubber futures price remained at 74.08 baht/kg.
There were no new fluctuations in world rubber prices today. To summarize this week, the Chinese market increased by nearly 3.3%, while Japan and Thailand increased by about 2.5%.
In Spain, Dynasol Group increased its liquid styrene butadiene rubber (SSBR) production capacity by 20,000 tonnes/year at its Gajano plant in Santander, during a visit by Maria Jose Saenz de Buruaga on July 15.
At the same time, they also added 10,000 tons/year to their styrene-butadiene copolymer (SBC) line in Altamira, Mexico. This investment increases production flexibility, allowing production to be adjusted between SSBR and SBS according to market demand.
Prior to the expansion, the Santander plant had a capacity of 120,000 tonnes/year for SBS and SEBS, while Altamira had a capacity of 110,000 tonnes/year for SSBR and SBS. Dynasol has seen strong demand growth in sectors such as electric vehicles, electronics, and asphalt in both the Americas and Europe.
Domestic rubber price
According to the latest listed price, the price of raw rubber latex at Mang Yang Company is from 389 - 393 VND/TSC; mixed latex is purchased at around 340 - 388 VND/DRC.
At Ba Ria Rubber Company, the purchase price of liquid latex is 385 VND/TSC, DRC coagulated latex from 35-44% is 12,300 VND/kg; raw latex is 15,300 - 16,500 VND/kg.
The latest price quote of Phu Rieng Rubber Company fluctuates at 370 VND/DRC for mixed latex and 400 VND/TSC for water latex.
To summarize this week, the domestic rubber latex market has decreased quite sharply, losing 50-10 VND for mixed and liquid latex; and 400-500 VND for coagulated latex or raw latex.
