Rubber price today December 9, 2025: Mixed developments in the world market, while domestic purchasing levels remain stable at businesses.

Today's rubber price on the world market fluctuates slightly by region.

At the end of the trading session on December 8, rubber prices on major exchanges were divided. In Thailand, the January 2026 futures price decreased by 2% to 55.5 baht/kg.

On the contrary, in Japan (OSE), January rubber futures prices increased slightly by 0.1% to 323 yen/kg.

The Chinese market also recorded a 0.2% increase for the March 2026 term, to 15,110 yuan/ton.

Rubber futures on the Osaka Exchange (OSE) rose 2 yen, or 0.61 percent, to 327.4 yen per kilogram, boosted by firmer oil prices and expectations that the European Union (EU) will announce measures to support the auto industry.

Traders were upbeat after reports the European Commission could announce a package of measures on December 16, including the possibility of a more flexible roadmap to phase out internal combustion engines by 2035.

The move comes as European carmakers struggle with lower-than-expected demand for electric vehicles and fierce competition from Chinese manufacturers.

The outlook for automobile output is seen as an important factor for the rubber market, as the industry consumes a large amount of tires.

However, the Japanese market's gains were limited by a stronger yen. The yen rose to 155.21 yen per dollar after a series of losses in November, making yen-denominated assets less attractive to foreign investors.

On the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE), the rubber contract for May delivery fell slightly by 5 yuan to 15,065 yuan per ton. However, the butadiene rubber contract for January 2026 delivery rose 0.72% to 10,530 yuan per ton.

Oil prices hovered around a two-week high on expectations the US Federal Reserve will cut interest rates, supporting economic growth and energy demand.

Natural rubber prices are often affected by oil price movements because they compete for market share with synthetic rubber, a product derived from petroleum.

Weak demand from Europe, the impact of US tariffs and high inventories in China have continued to weigh on prices in recent sessions, the Japan Exchange said in a report.

Rubber prices in Vietnam today remain stable at many businesses

Domestically, large enterprises maintain stable rubber prices for raw materials, creating stability for growers.

Specifically, Ba Ria Rubber Company announced the purchase price of latex at 415 VND/degree TSC/kg (applied for degrees TSC from 25 to under 30). DRC latex (35 - 44%) is purchased at 13,900 VND/kg, and raw latex is 18,500 VND/kg.

Similarly, Phu Rieng Company offered a stable purchase price of mixed latex at 390 VND/DRC and a purchase price of water latex at 420 VND/TSC. MangYang Company recorded a purchase price of water latex at about 403-408 VND/TSC (type 2-type 1), mixed latex at about 368-419 VND/DRC (type 2-type 1).

At Binh Long Company, the stable rubber purchase price at the Factory is 422 VND/TSC/kg, the purchase price at the production team is 412 VND/TSC/kg. The stable price of mixed latex (DRC 60%) is listed at 14,000 VND/kg.
