Rice price today November 14: Dai Thom 8 rice increased slightly by 100 VND

The rice market on November 14 recorded mixed fluctuations in raw rice prices, while rice and export prices were stable. Domestic trading demand was low.

The rice market in the Mekong Delta region on November 14 recorded mixed fluctuations in raw rice, while paddy and export rice prices remained stable. Specifically, Dai Thom 8 rice increased slightly by VND100/kg, while OM 380 rice decreased by VND100/kg. Transactions in the market were generally quiet due to weak new purchase demand.

Rice prices in the domestic market

According to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province and Vietnamese Rice, domestic rice prices have slightly adjusted in some varieties. Trading activities at warehouses in Lap Vo, Sa Dec and An Cu (Dong Thap) are still slow.

In many localities such as An Giang , Can Tho, Dong Thap, the amount of rice at the end of the crop is still low while the demand for new purchases is weak, causing the price of rice to remain stable. Regarding by-products, the price of broken rice OM 5451 is at 7,300 - 7,400 VND/kg and the price of bran fluctuates from 9,000 - 10,000 VND/kg.

Export raw rice prices fluctuated in opposite directions on November 14.

Export rice prices remain stable

In the world market, Vietnam's rice export prices have not changed compared to the previous session. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the current reference prices are as follows:

• 5% broken fragrant rice: 415 – 430 USD/ton.
• Jasmine rice: 478 – 482 USD/ton.
• 100% broken rice: 314 – 317 USD/ton.

Many businesses said that international trading remained stable as traditional markets maintained steady purchases, but there was no sudden surge in demand at the end of the year as expected.

Stable retail market

In markets and supermarkets, retail rice prices have not fluctuated much. Common prices recorded:

• Nang Nhen Rice: 28,000 VND/kg (highest in the market).
• Jasmine Rice: 22,000 VND/kg.
• Nang Hoa Rice: 21,000 VND/kg.
• Long grain Thai fragrant rice: 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg.
• Jasmine rice: 17,000 - 18,000 VND/kg.
• Regular rice: 11,000 - 12,000 VND/kg.
