After strong fluctuations at the beginning of the week, today's live pig prices generally stabilized across the country, with only one adjustment point appearing in the West.
After a series of consecutive days of “turning red”, the pig market in the North and Central regions regained stability on July 20. The trading map no longer shows the bearish arrow, reflecting that market sentiment is temporarily slowing down due to signals from supply and demand.
In the North, the price of live pigs today fluctuates from 63,000 - 64,000 VND/kg, commonly at 64,000 VND/kg in many localities such as: Hanoi , Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong. This is considered a fairly stable price level in the context of the region having fluctuated strongly before due to weak consumption and increased supply.
In the Central and Central Highlands regions, the price of live pigs remains low. In Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang , and Quang Ngai, the price of live pigs is at 62,000 VND/kg. Looking a little closer, the price of live pigs in Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Ha Tinh, and Nghe An remains at 63,000 VND/kg. Gia Lai continues to hold the lowest price in the country at 61,000 VND/kg.
Although there are no signs of recovery, the fact that no localities have seen price reductions shows that the market has reached a stable level, at least in the short term.
The South is the only region that recorded a slight price decrease today. Specifically, Can Tho City adjusted the price down by VND1,000/kg to VND65,000/kg - the same level as Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Thap.
The remaining localities remain unchanged: Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Ca Mau, Lam Dong: 66,000 VND/kg; Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Thap, An Giang: 65,000 VND/kg. Vinh Long: 64,000 VND/kg
The South is still the region with the highest pork price in the country, commonly in the range of 64,000 - 66,000 VND/kg, thanks to more stable consumption and advantages in distribution.
