Pig price today January 3, 2025: Highest 69,000 VND/kg

Northern region

The price of live pigs today (January 3, 2025) in the Northern region continues to move sideways on the third day of the new year 2025. Currently, the price of live pigs in this region is fluctuating between 67,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.

Of which, Hanoi and Bac Giang continue to maintain the highest price of live pigs in the country at 69,000 VND/kg. The remaining localities in the region are trading live pig prices commonly from 67,000 - 68,000 VND/kg.

Central Highlands region

Similarly, the price of live pigs today (January 3, 2025) in the Central Highlands region also recorded stable prices in the provinces and cities in the region. This is maintaining a sideways trend after the last days of 2024 with consecutive price increases.

Currently, the price of live pigs in the Central Highlands region fluctuates between 64,000 - 69,000 VND/kg. In particular, Lam Dong province still maintains the highest price of live pigs in the region at 69,000 VND/kg. Next, Thanh Hoa, Binh Thuan , and Dak Lak provinces have the same purchase price of 68,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces have live pig prices ranging from 65,000 - 67,000 VND/kg.

Southern region

Along with the above two regions, the price of live pigs in the Southern region today (January 3, 2025) continues to record the same price as yesterday (January 2). Compared to January 1, 2025, in this region, the two provinces of Binh Duong and Ben Tre both increased by 1,000 VND/kg and reached 68,000 VND/kg and 67,000 VND/kg respectively.

Currently, the price of live pigs in the Southern region is fluctuating between 64,000 and 69,000 VND/kg. Of which, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh provinces have the highest price of live pigs in the region, both reaching 69,000 VND/kg. On the contrary, Kien Giang, Tien Giang, and Tra Vinh have the lowest price in the country at 64,000 VND/kg, while the remaining provinces fluctuate between 65,000 and 68,000 VND/kg.

In general, the live hog market today has slowed down after consecutive increases in some provinces and cities across the country in the last days of 2024. Surveys show that live hogs nationwide are being traded in the range of 64,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.
