Pig prices today, December 9, nationwide remained stable after many days of adjustment. The general price fluctuated between 57,000 - 61,000 VND/kg.

Northern pig price

After a downward adjustment at the beginning of the week, the price of live pigs in the Northern region remained unchanged this morning. The current trading range in the North fluctuates from 59,000 - 61,000 VND/kg.

Lang Son, Dien Bien and Lai Chau provinces are the localities with the lowest prices in the region, reaching 59,000 VND/kg. Other provinces and cities such as Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh and Hanoi traded at the highest price of 61,000 VND/kg. Most of the remaining localities such as Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Ninh Binh, Lao Cai, Phu Tho and Son La all stayed at 60,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in Central Highlands

Pig prices in the provinces and cities in the Central and Central Highlands regions also did not record any adjustments this morning. Pigs in this region were purchased at a price range of 58,000 - 61,000 VND/kg.

Nghe An is currently the locality with the highest live hog price in the region, reaching 61,000 VND/kg. On the contrary, the lowest price of 58,000 VND/kg was recorded in Hue, Da Nang , Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa. Other provinces such as Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Quang Ngai and Lam Dong maintain common prices from 59,000 VND/kg to 60,000 VND/kg.

Southern pig price

Pig prices in the Southern market also continued to move sideways following the general trend of the whole country, remaining stable in the range of 57,000 - 62,000 VND/kg.

Dong Nai is currently the locality with the highest price in the region, reaching 61,000 VND/kg. Following closely are Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City with live hog prices at 60,000 VND/kg. The remaining localities mainly trade at 57,000 VND/kg and 58,000 VND/kg, including Dong Thap, Vinh Long, An Giang and Can Tho.

In short, after many days of fluctuations, the live hog market in all three regions has kept the same price this morning. Survey shows that live hogs across the country are bought and sold at around 57,000 - 61,000 VND/kg.

Prices of chilled pork and fresh meat continue to move sideways.

For the retail market, the price of Meat Deli chilled pork from WinMart is unchanged, ranging from 119,922 - 163,122 VND/kg. All products are discounted by 20% according to the supermarket's promotion program. The lowest price for ground pork is 119,922 VND/kg. Other popular products such as lean pork thigh, lean pork shoulder and boneless ham hock are priced at 122,320 VND/kg, 126,320 VND/kg and 127,922 VND/kg, respectively.

Ha Hien Fresh Food Company also recorded that pork prices continued to be stable this morning. Pork products here are sold at prices ranging from 69,526 - 160,592 VND/kg. Pork fat is the product with the lowest selling price, at 69,526 VND/kg. Lean pork shoulder, lean pork leg and ground pork are sold at 102,857 VND/kg, 104,762 VND/kg and 114,286 VND/kg, respectively.
