Pig price on October 11, 2024: Continued decrease in the North and South

DNVN - On October 11, 2024, the price of live pigs continued to decrease in the northern provinces and cities, with prices ranging from 63,000 - 67,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in the Northern region

This morning, the live hog market in the Northern region continued to decrease, down to 67,000 VND/kg in most localities, with common transaction prices ranging from 66,000 - 67,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg was recorded in the provinces of Bac Giang , Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Thai Binh and Hanoi.

Pig price in Central Highlands region

In the Central Highlands region, the price of live pigs remains unchanged, fluctuating between 64,000 - 66,000 VND/kg.

Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces are currently trading at 66,000 VND/kg, the highest price in the region.

Pig price in the Southern region

The Southern region also recorded a slight decrease, with prices ranging from 63,000 - 65,000 VND/kg.

Bac Lieu province is the only locality that reduced the purchase price by 1,000 VND/kg, down to the lowest purchase price in the country at 63,000 VND/kg, equal to Ben Tre.

Other provinces and cities in the region maintain stable prices.

In general, the price of live pigs nationwide is showing a slight downward trend in many localities due to abundant supply and signs of slowing demand. According to experts, the price of live pigs is likely to continue to decrease slightly in the coming days, especially in the Northern and Central provinces, when the domestic supply of live pigs is gradually stabilizing.
