In Nghe An, the highest regional price of 61,000 VND/kg remains unchanged, followed by Thanh Hoa with a price of 60,000 VND/kg.

Particularly, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa all recorded a stable purchase price of 58,000 VND/kg.
Southern pork prices
The live hog market in the South this morning had no fluctuations, with transaction prices remaining within the range of 57,000 - 61,000 VND/kg.
Dong Nai continues to lead the region with 61,000 VND/kg - the highest in the South. Following, Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City both maintain the price of 60,000 VND/kg. In Dong Thap and Vinh Long, the price of live pigs is currently at 58,000 VND/kg.
Localities such as An Giang, Ca Mau and Can Tho still maintain the purchase price at 57,000 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous day.
Nationwide, the current price of live pigs ranges from 57,000 to 61,000 VND/kg. Although some areas in the North and Central regions have made slight adjustments, the general market trend is still upward due to limited supply and clearly improved consumption demand.
According to the socio-economic report for November and the first 11 months of 2025, Dong Nai province - the pig farming capital of Vietnam - recorded a total pig herd of 3.67 million, an increase of 2.41% over the same period last year. This is the locality with the largest herd in the country, playing a key role in stabilizing the supply for the southern region.
The total livestock herd of the province reached 3.83 million heads; of which, the herd of buffalo and cows both increased slightly thanks to the stable demand for livestock meat. The chicken herd alone reached 32.36 million heads, accounting for 90.52% of the total poultry herd and an increase of nearly 865,000 heads compared to the same period last year. Thanks to enhanced vaccination and the widespread application of biosafety farming processes, the epidemic situation in the province is still under control.
Although some small outbreaks still appear, veterinary forces have quickly isolated, closely monitored and promptly handled the outbreaks, preventing the spread of the disease. Many large-scale farms are also actively restocking to prepare supplies for the Lunar New Year - a time when demand for pork increases.
Dong Nai’s ability to maintain a stable herd while many provinces are cautious about herd restoration helps the southern market ensure a relatively sustainable supply. However, experts still believe that the cost of animal feed and the risk of disease recurrence are two factors that could cause the price of live pigs to fluctuate in the coming weeks.
