Gia Lai: Meeting to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the tradition of the Operations Staff sector

Accordingly, after the country gained independence, to command and operate the armed forces of the whole country, on September 7, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh assigned comrade Hoang Van Thai to establish the General Staff. Under the leadership and direction of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, directly the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and the wholehearted support of the Party committees, authorities and people of the whole country, the General Staff gradually matured and achieved many outstanding feats in the resistance wars; successfully completed its tasks during the period of national construction and defense and during the period of renovation.

Along with the growth of the Vietnam People's Army's Operations Staff, the Provincial Armed Forces' Operations Staff has also promoted the spirit of intelligence, bravery, and creativity and is the central agency, the brain, advising on combat coordination and helping the commander direct, propose countermeasures and strategies to successfully complete all assigned tasks.

“In the coming time, the Operations Staff of the provincial armed forces will focus on building and improving comprehensive, proactive and sensitive capacity in research, early forecasting of the situation, timely advising and proposing on strategic planning and tactics to improve the effectiveness of combining economy with national defense, building solid defense zones at all levels, in accordance with the two-level local government model,” Colonel Dinh Van The emphasized.
