According to statistics from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai, storm No. 13 and the flood that followed immediately affected 97 tourism businesses in the province, including 92 accommodation establishments and 5 tourist areas/destinations.
Of these, 53 enterprises reported preliminary damages, while 44 units have not yet determined the value of the damage. The total estimated damage is more than 108 billion VND, mainly to tourism infrastructure: rooms, landscape, equipment, electricity and water systems, trees, etc.

Immediately after the storm and flood passed, tourism businesses started to restore infrastructure in time to welcome guests for the 2026 Lunar New Year.
At Ky Co tourist area (Quy Nhon Dong ward), storms destroyed many items including: restaurant, reception area, accommodation area, seal circus house, check-in miniatures and equipment system.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Deputy General Director of Ky Co tourist area - said: We prioritize repairing trees, seal circus area, check-in miniatures. The severely damaged areas will be gradually repaired, striving to complete in early 2026 to welcome guests.
According to Mr. Tuan, this is also the low season for beach tourism. Tourists can still visit Ky Co tourist area by road and experience the mountain accommodation - which has been completely restored after the storm.

At the Ham Ho Rosa Alba eco-tourism area (Binh Phu commune), the entire landscape system, check-in points, restaurants, hotels, stilt houses, stream bridges and electrical systems were all severely damaged.
Mr. Tran Minh Tri - Deputy Director of Ham Ho Rosa Alba tourist area - shared: "Immediately after the storm and flood, we mobilized forces to clean up and repair urgent items. Up to now, the landscape, electrical system and restaurant have been basically restored, while the accommodation area is still being repaired to serve guests in time."
Hai Au Hotel - located at 489 An Duong Vuong (Quy Nhon Nam ward) also damaged many items such as: restaurant area, reception hall, VIP dining room, rooftop lobby, swimming pool, aquarium, and 20 rooms.
Mr. Le Hong Quang, Deputy Director of Hai Au Hotel, said: "We signed a contract with the construction unit right after the storm to repair as soon as possible. Up to now, the hotel has been operating stably with room occupancy reaching about 70%."

Along with the efforts of businesses, the provincial tourism industry has developed a post-disaster recovery plan, prioritizing the implementation of solutions to ensure destination safety and safety for tourists; improving service quality, building products and promotional packages to stimulate tourism; stepping up communication, advertising, tourism promotion and supporting businesses to speed up the recovery of tourism activities.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chung - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Information: The Department will promote the image of Gia Lai tourism ready to welcome visitors back, responding to the stimulus program "Vietnam - Go to love", "Gia Lai tourism is safe, friendly, attractive" to restore the tourism market after natural disasters.
“Along with exploiting existing tourism products, we encourage the development of more climate-adaptive tourism products such as: safe trekking, risk-controlled ecotourism, dry season agricultural tourism... At the same time, upgrade and renew tours/tour routes associated with destinations that have just recovered from damage and been renovated after the storm” - Ms. Chung informed.
