Gia Lai "covers" electronic tax payment via eTax Mobile

In an effort to change the approach and support taxpayers according to the motto "Taxpayer-centric", Gia Lai Provincial Tax Department determined to take information technology as the foundation, from which, build and deploy 16 specialized applications, modernizing all stages of tax management.

Notable among these is the eTax Mobile electronic tax payment application for business households (HKD), which is compatible with both popular platforms iOS and Android.

This application allows HKD to pay taxes, look up and perform many tax-related issues anytime, anywhere with internet connection, conveniently and quickly.

From mid-2022, units under the Provincial Tax Department will step up propaganda, training, and guidance for business households to install and make the most of the features of eTax Mobile.

Social platforms such as Facebook, Zalo... are also effectively utilized by tax authorities to serve the coverage of the eTax Mobile application.

Many officials of the grassroots tax team, including the Grassroots Tax Team 1, also went to the markets to advise and guide businesses on installation and use; turning this application into an effective, two-way information connection channel between the tax authority and taxpayers. This activity continued to be strengthened immediately after the operation of the two-level local government.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan - Head of Tax Department 1 - said: "We have established 3 business households management teams in the wards: Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon Dong, Quy Nhon Nam, Quy Nhon Tay, Quy Nhon Bac and Nhon Chau commune, approaching people to disseminate new regulations in the field of tax; at the same time, checking and reviewing the authenticity of business households when registering to use the application, promptly granting them accounts.

Thanks to that, up to now, 6,895/6,988 HKD (98.66%) in 6/6 wards and communes have installed eTax Mobile; the amount of HKD paid electronic tax in the first 9 months of 2025 is 4.5 billion VND. We are currently continuing to support the installation of the application for the remaining few HKD.

Regularly performing tax obligations through the eTax Mobile application, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao (Quy Nhon ward) commented: This application has many functions, is easy to use, with just a small operation, I can pay the tax and look up the information of the amount I have paid. It also helps me manage my own taxes and can pay taxes at any time without having to go to the tax office or the bank.

At the tax management area of Tax Department 2, the application deployment to business households was smooth and effective. Mr. Pham Trung Thang - Head of Tax Department 2 - said: We have currently supported all 6,501 business households in 6/6 wards and communes to install the eTax Mobile electronic tax payment application. In September 2025, 100% of business households fulfilled their tax obligations through the application, with an amount of more than 2.7 billion VND, proving that the application brings many benefits to people.

Mr. Diep Bao Minh - Owner of an electronics business in Binh Dinh ward - shared: With just a few simple steps on the phone, I can complete the tax payments quickly and accurately. On average, my business pays 3-3.5 million VND in taxes each month through this application.

To date, the eTax Mobile application has covered 135 communes and wards of the province, with 46,893/47,213 HKD (99.32%) installed and used. Notably, 8/11 tax offices have completed the work of supporting HKD to install the application.

In September 2025, the number of households paying taxes via the eTax Mobile application accounted for 96% of the total number of households that installed the application, with an amount of more than 27.3 billion VND, promptly adding to the budget.

Mr. Le Minh Nhut - Head of Tax Department of Gia Lai province - affirmed: eTax Mobile application is an important piece of the electronic public service system of the tax authority, bringing many conveniences to taxpayers, ensuring publicity and transparency in tax management and collection.

Therefore, the Provincial Tax Department continues to guide the installation and use of the eTax Mobile application, striving for 100% of business households in the province to fulfill tax obligations through this application.
