The 2024 Ethnic Minority Survey is a large-scale sample survey to collect information on population, housing conditions of ethnic minority households and socio-economic conditions with the aim of reflecting the socio-economic situation of 53 ethnic minorities in the province; at the same time, it is used to compile statistical indicators to serve the construction and planning of socio-economic development policies for ethnic minority areas in the period of 2026-2030; as a basis for updating the information system and statistical data on ethnic minorities in Vietnam.
Immediately after the ceremony, investigators and supervisors of the Pleiku City Statistical Office collected information from households in the area; at the same time, they organized a parade using mobile vehicles to propagate the purpose, meaning, and basic content of the 2024 Ethnic Minority Census to help people, especially ethnic minorities in the area, realize their rights and responsibilities in providing complete, accurate, and timely information.
