Gia Lai deploys chip-based party membership cards, modernizing Party work

(GLO)- Along with the whole country, Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee has deployed the change of chip-embedded party membership cards according to the new model, marking a strong transformation in Party building work, towards modernity, regularity and transparency.

Modernizing party member management

The exchange of party membership cards is carried out synchronously, seriously, in accordance with the Central Charter and regulations, aiming to raise awareness of striving, discipline and internal solidarity.

Card exchange work is associated with the application of information technology, database synchronization, improving the effectiveness of party member management, meeting the requirements of innovation in the Party's leadership methods.

According to Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Hoang Dang Quang, the electronic party card manages party member information centrally, ensuring accuracy and high security, while at the same time creating favorable conditions for the Party Committee to verify, review and update data.

The card integrates many smart utilities such as: information lookup, living process, training results, political theory study, party member rights... From there, party members improve their self-awareness and transparency in the process of training and living.

In the context of the whole country promoting digital transformation, modernizing party member management through issuing chip-based party membership cards is necessary, contributing to building a transparent and effective party organization.

Issuing chip-embedded party membership cards based on the national population database brings many obvious benefits. First of all, it standardizes and centralizes information, creating favorable conditions for party committees at all levels to verify, review and update party member data to serve the work of organization, cadres, elections, rewards and discipline.

In addition, the chip-embedded party membership card helps reduce paperwork and simplify administrative procedures within the Party. Party members' information is stored and secured according to national standards, linked to each individual's electronic identity, minimizing errors, loss or fraud of information.

The application of technology in party member management demonstrates the spirit of innovation and dynamism of grassroots party organizations, and is an important step in the comprehensive digital transformation of the Party, State and socio-political organizations.

From policy to concrete action

In An Khe ward, 100% of official party members (1,718/1,718 party members) who are eligible have completed their application for card exchange. In Lo Pang commune, according to Head of the Party Building Committee Tran Thi Ngoc Ha, up to now, the Party Committee of the commune has 617/646 party members who have completed the card exchange (reaching a rate of 96%).

“The exchange of party membership cards with population data helps the party member information system to be connected, accurate, modern, reduce administrative procedures and move towards smart management. This is also an opportunity for each party member to raise awareness of their role and responsibility to the organization,” Ms. Ha affirmed.

In Binh Hiep commune, the implementation of the Party membership card exchange clearly demonstrated a spirit of determination and synchronization. Party Secretary Le Minh Luc said: The Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the commune has issued a detailed plan, clearly assigning people, tasks, and responsibilities; working groups have been established to go to village Party cells to guide and support each Party member in declaring to ensure progress and data quality; working groups also go to the homes of Party members who are elderly, sick, or have difficulty traveling.

Thanks to that, the whole commune has 629/629 official party members (100%) who have completed the card exchange. "This is the time to contribute to strengthening the party organization, bringing party member management to a digital platform" - Mr. Luc emphasized.

With more than 6,600 party members, Quy Nhon ward is the locality with the highest number of party members in the province.

Lieutenant Colonel Vo Thep Truong Son - Chief of Ward Police - said that the unit must implement a "rolling" plan to ensure progress.

“The officers and soldiers worked overtime and took turns working through the night to enter data. The unit also contacted the provincial working group to promptly resolve difficulties and problems that arose during the implementation process,” said Senior Lieutenant Colonel Vo Thep Truong Son.

To achieve the above results, immediately after the Secretariat and the Central Organizing Committee issued a policy to issue chip-embedded party membership cards, based on the National Population Database, the Provincial Party Standing Committee directed party committees to focus on leadership, direction, and resolute organization of the work of exchanging party membership cards to ensure the goals and requirements of the Central Committee.

Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee Mai Viet Trung said: "The Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee has issued many documents to promote the peak period of exchanging party membership cards, instructing party committees under the Provincial Party Committee to urgently review and compare party member profile information and coordinate with the police force to complete data to serve the card issuance work.

Along with that, localities in the whole province have quickly concretized it with urgent, serious and responsible actions. This demonstrates the proactive and decisive spirit, affirming the province's determination in pioneering the implementation of the Central Government's policies."

With high determination, great efforts, drastic actions of the entire political system and close direction of the Provincial Party Committee, up to now the whole province has collected information of 138,263/141,794 party members, reaching 97.51% of party members eligible for card exchange, ensuring the requirements and progress set out.

Behind each card is the effort of "going to every alley, knocking on every door, checking every person" of police officers and soldiers and commune-level civil servants, demonstrating the inevitable trend of digital transformation, contributing to building a strong party organization.
