In many localities today, new rice transactions are slow. In Kien Giang, new rice transactions are slow, farmers offer prices for rice harvested after Tet but there are few transactions. In Soc Trang, rice prices fluctuate little, buying demand is still slow.

In Dong Thap, winter-spring rice transactions are slow, farmers offer higher prices for rice harvested before Tet but there are few buyers. In Can Tho, farmers offer to sell winter-spring rice 2024/25 after Tet, rice transactions are slow, few buyers.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today remained unchanged from yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 419 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 395 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 326 USD/ton.
