According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in the first 6 months of the year, many types of fruit in the province decreased in price significantly compared to the same period last year, directly affecting the income of gardeners.

Specifically, the price of grade 1 Nam Roi grapefruit ranges from 16,000-25,000 VND/kg, grade 2 from 9,000-13,000 VND/kg. Compared to the same period last year, the highest price has decreased from 7,000-9,000 VND/kg. The price decrease has made many grapefruit growers worried about economic efficiency in the coming crops.

Similarly, the price of oranges also decreased, grade 1 oranges cost 4,000-7,000 VND/kg (down 1,000-3,000 VND/kg), grade 2 oranges cost 3,000-5,000 VND/kg (down 3,000 VND/kg), grade 3 oranges cost 2,000-4,000 VND/kg (down 2,000 VND/kg), and pomelos cost 2,500-5,000 VND/kg (down 3,000 VND/kg). The low price makes orange consumption difficult in some localities. Notably, the price of yellow-fleshed durian with small seeds ranges from 35,000-60,000 VND/kg, down sharply from 15,000-70,000 VND/kg compared to the same period last year.

In the coming time, the agricultural sector will continue to mobilize farmers to renovate gardens with low economic efficiency; coordinate with local authorities to guide farmers to monitor and promptly prevent and control diseases in fruit gardens; propagate and guide farmers on intensive farming measures, increase the quality and efficiency of production of the province's key fruits; encourage gardeners to apply safe production processes, trace the origin and link consumption to improve the value of agricultural products.
