In the domestic market, coffee prices in the Central Highlands region on the morning of December 6, 2025 decreased sharply from 1,700 to 1,900 VND/kg, fluctuating between 102,800 - 103,800 VND/kg.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in the first 11 months of 2025, coffee exports reached 1.4 million tons, bringing in 7.88 billion USD. Thanks to the sharp increase in prices, export value increased by 60% although output increased by only 14% compared to the same period.
The average coffee export price during this period is estimated at 5,668 USD/ton, up 40% over the previous year, helping domestic enterprises benefit greatly in the context of Robusta and Arabica prices reaching record highs in many years.
The three main markets for Vietnamese coffee continue to be Germany, Italy and Spain. In Germany, the value of coffee imports from Vietnam increased by 95% in 10 months, raising its market share to 24% from 21%, although the total import volume of this country tends to decrease.
Experts believe that the European market still has a lot of potential, especially for products such as specialty coffee, deep-processed coffee and certified coffee. Effectively utilizing the EVFTA will contribute to increasing export value and consolidating Vietnam's position in the global coffee supply chain.
Pepper prices slightly decreased
Domestic pepper prices on the morning of December 6, 2025 continued to decline, losing from 500 to 1,500 VND/kg. Specifically, in Dak Lak, pepper prices decreased by 1,500 VND/kg to 148,500 VND/kg; in Chu Se (Gia Lai), they decreased by 500 VND/kg to 147,000 VND/kg; and in Dak Nong, they decreased by 1,500 VND/kg, currently at 148,500 VND/kg.
The Southeast region also recorded a similar trend, when pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Binh Phuoc both decreased by 500 VND/kg, to 147,500 VND/kg.
According to an update from the International Pepper Community (IPC), the most recent trading session recorded the price of Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) at 6,995 USD/ton, down 0.04%; Muntok white pepper at 9,643 USD/ton, down 0.05%.
Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper prices remained at $6,150 per tonne, while Malaysian ASTA black pepper reached $9,000 per tonne and ASTA white pepper at $12,000 per tonne.
Today's Vietnamese black pepper price fluctuates around 6,500 USD/ton for 500 g/l, 6,700 USD/ton for 550 g/l; white pepper reaches 9,250 USD/ton.
The price threshold of 147,500 - 150,000 VND/kg continues to be considered an important market balance zone, helping to stabilize the psychology of growers. The slight price increase in some localities is contributing to limiting short-term transactions.
Vietnam's pepper industry is now approaching its highest export mark in history, as prices continue to rise amid declining global supply and stable demand in major markets.
In the short term, pepper prices in many areas are still fluctuating between 147,000 and 150,000 VND/kg. Although the market is under pressure to adjust, low inventory and reduced output are helping prices remain at a more favorable level than many other agricultural products.
Most farmers are now choosing to hold onto their products, waiting for more positive signals before selling, as the price below VND148,000/kg is not attractive enough. This development contributes to maintaining the balance between supply and demand in the current pepper market.
