As of November 14, the domestic construction steel market continued to maintain a stable state, with no price adjustments. Meanwhile, the world market showed mixed fluctuations due to signals of demand from China and changes in input material prices.
Domestic steel prices remain stable
According to data from SteelOnline.vn, steel prices in regions across the country remained almost unchanged compared to last weekend. Major brands such as Hoa Phat , Viet Y, Viet Duc, and VAS all kept their listed prices unchanged.

Reference price list of Hoa Phat steel
| Product | Northern Region | Central Region | Southern Region |
|---|---|---|---|
| CB240 steel coil | 13,500 VND/kg | 13,500 VND/kg | 13,500 VND/kg |
| D10 CB300 ribbed steel bar | 13,090 VND/kg | 13,090 VND/kg | 13,090 VND/kg |
Other brands such as Viet Y, Viet Duc, Viet Sing and VAS also maintain stable prices, fluctuating between 12,730 - 13,640 VND/kg depending on product line and region.
World markets move in opposite directions
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE), the price of rebar for delivery in July 2026 edged up 5 yuan to 3,118 yuan/ton. However, some other products recorded a decrease:
- Hot rolled coil: down 0.12%
- Steel wire: down 0.63%
- Stainless steel: horizontal
Input prices also showed a divergence. The January iron ore contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) rose 0.26% to 772.5 yuan a tonne (about $108.45 a tonne). In contrast, the December benchmark iron ore on the Singapore Commodity Exchange fell slightly by 0.03% to $102.75 a tonne.
The market is weighing between increased maintenance by steel mills due to shrinking profit margins and expectations of stock replenishment in preparation for the Lunar New Year in February, according to analysts from Jinyuan Futures.
Trend forecasting
The fact that domestic steel prices remain stable shows that businesses are carefully monitoring the price movements of raw materials in the world, especially iron ore, before making new adjustments. The domestic market is forecast to remain stable in the short term, waiting for clearer signals from construction and production demand at the end of the year.
