According to VPSA, although the supply-demand mechanism in the pepper market is still maintained, tax factors and technical barriers are increasingly becoming important variables, forcing businesses to adjust their customer approach strategies.

From now until the end of 2025, VPSA forecasts that prices and demand will continue to increase. However, in 2026, if global output recovers as forecast, pepper prices may be under downward pressure. The possibility of expanding the planting area in Vietnam is almost limited as most of the land fund has been fully exploited, meaning that the increase in output mainly comes from optimizing productivity, making it difficult to create breakthroughs. Brazil is a rare exception with large room for expansion, which can significantly impact the supply-demand balance.

In the context of the international market still having many fluctuations related to taxes, geopolitics and seasonal demand, pepper importers are switching to a strategy of buying in small, regular drops to reduce cost risks and control inventory more flexibly instead of buying in large quantities.

VPSA recommends that businesses should proactively manage their warehouses and coordinate their supply sources appropriately to meet the increased demand at the end of the year and take advantage of the opportunity to increase pepper prices in the short term. Factors such as export taxes, logistics costs and regulations of origin are expected to reshape global market share.

Thus, today's pepper price on December 2, 2025 in the country is trading around 148,500 - 150,000 VND/kg.
